More RR history

Riff Raiders deliver modern hard rock with an alternative edge – driven by big riffs, soaring vocals, and cinematic energy. Blending the punch of active rock with melodic depth, their sound is built for loud stages and repeat spins that performs for you, not at you.

Raised on a balanced diet of crunchy guitars, tangy riffs and spicy hooks, Riff Raiders have simmered, sauteed and seared their unique flavour of rock since 2017.

Breaking on the rock scene with debut album, Live Like You Mean It, winning fans and melting faces with their renowned explosive live shows, Riff Raiders were shortlisted for the Best Rock / Punk Act in the Music Victoria Awards 2021. Their second album Rock and Roll Daydream (2020) received international critical acclaim and included the singles Samantha Jones, Loaded Gun, and Best Day Ever, just as the world stayed home and their first headline tour was halted midway.

Their solid reputation for live performances has grown after 100 shows in the earlier days, including key support slots with D-A-D, Baby Animals, The Poor, Palace of the King, & The Lazys.

In 2024 the single, Nothing To Lose, release was a two-and-a-half-minute bona fide banger complete with an epic video that uses some of the original lights used to cook guests on ABC TV (Australia)’s Countdown.

The title track of their third album, Welcome to Mars arrived on1st Feb 2026. This high-energy track and accompanying video has a strong environmental message for earthlings from the view on Mars.

Their much awaited new Welcome To Mars album releases on 7 June. In anticipation, Riff Raiders return with a new single Broken Halo on 31 May -  a dark, melodic hard rock track driven by soaring vocals, heavy riffs, and a cinematic edge. Blending raw emotion with anthemic energy of real music pared with an AI music video, the band continue to push their modern hard sound into bigger, bolder territory.

Welcome to Mars features a collection of 11 genre-blurring tracks from the modern hard n’ heavy Broken Halo to the Sabbath feel of Sound Mirror, the swampy bluegrassy swagger of Climbing the Walls and three-part power pop gem Feels Like Something - you’ll have a new favourite song every time you hit repeat.
